Starting off a new week with several changes, over the weekend I designed several menus now in the demo
these and other updates include
- A main menu screen, with title background and menu buttons.
- An options menu (options are not functional yet)
- Designed an in-game menu with map and journal screens (though there is no map nor journal yet)
- Music and sound effects for the main menu
- new sound effect for the snake enemy
- Added jump sound effect to the player
- Changed the jump controls so now jump height is determined by how long you hold the jump button
- added sound effect for when destructible walls/blocks are destroyed
- Added custom mouse cursor in the shape of an ankh (not available in browser)
This week is going to be a busy one, as I'm currently working on implementing options functionality and drawing/modelling mroe backgrounds for the menus and game world, and objects with which to fill the world, all coming soon.
As I'm always looking to improve the game, any feedback on the new menu designs would be greatly appreciated!
